From staff reports
The combined Oil City and Cranberry homecoming festivities will step off today with a parade, bonfire and pep rally.
The parade, led by the Oiler marching band, will feature athletes who participate in fall sports at both schools. It will begin at 6 p.m. on West First Street.
The parade will end at Central Avenue Plaza, where a pep rally and homecoming bonfire are planned.
Saturday’s agenda will feature a homecoming dance at the Oilers football field. It will be held on a wide part of the track, where the high jump occurs.
In case of rain, the dance will be moved inside to the high school.
