During the school day on Wednesday, March 29th, all students grades 7-12 competed in a “rock, paper, scissors” tournament with their Character Strong group and teachers.

“This was our last Character Strong period for March so we decided to do it today to have a school wide activity that also promoted team building,” said Kayla Loll, vice principal and character strong coordinator.

The tournament was “March Madness Style” and consisted of playing other groups within their quarter of the bracket.

When the last student of their group lost, each team would sit in the gym and wait until the teams in the quarterfinals arrived to play in front of the whole school.

When asked about this idea, Loll explained, “As an administration, we wanted to create an activity that would give students a good break in their day.”

10th grade student, Kelsey Hanna, stated, “It was a nice change of pace and everyone had lots of fun.”
