Cranberry gets updates on bridge project; approves pension obligation

Cranberry Township supervisors reported progress on the replacement of the Aires Hill Road bridge, which is in the final design stages. Engineers have submitted the environmental permit, with construction expected to begin in 2025, although the bridge will remain closed through the winter. The Meadow Church Road bridge, also under replacement, is facing weather-related delays but is set to be completed by late October or early November. Additionally, the township needs a utility easement from the Cranberry Mall’s owners for a water treatment plant project. Supervisors also accepted the township’s increased pension fund obligation of $168,505.
