Nearly 200 Cranberry Elementary School students spent a portion of Friday afternoon outside learning about summertime safety.
The program was a reward for the students’ good reading habits.
The children were reminded about bicycle and helmets, the importance of wearing a seat belt, what to do if they get lost in the woods, and how to stay safe around ATVs.
The program was coordinated by Cranberry Elementary librarian Jina Gaddess and presented by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Northwest Regional Highway Safety Network and Venango County Sheriff’s Department.
