This year, at Cranberry Area High School, the Covid protocol looks a different compared to the previous two years.

“Compared to last year, instead of quarantining ten days, it’s only five,” stated Principal Richard Smith.

Students and staff who have had Covid and return to school after five days must “…wear a mask to school for five days,” stated school nurse Jaclyn Field.

When coming in contact with someone who has covid, you only have to quarantine if you have symptoms.

Inside school changes include, no masks or social distancing, but the school would “still like to have assigned seats,” stated Smith.

As noted by Smith, this year there are not as many cases and the chances of going back to masks is very slim.
