Couple facing fraud charges related to incidents at 2 banks

A man and woman from Erie, Jamario Martin and Teana Thomas, are facing charges for attempting to deposit fake checks at banks in Cranberry Township and Franklin. They were caught after trying to deposit checks totaling over $3,500. Police found numerous fraudulent items in their vehicle, including checks, checkbooks, and identification cards with various names, as well as marijuana. Both are charged with forgery and fraud, and Thomas faces additional charges for identity theft and false identification. They are held without bail, with preliminary hearings set for July 17.
