The Clarion-Venango-Forest County Farm Bureau will select recipients for six $500 scholarships at their annual Spring Meeting at 6:30 p.m. March 29 at the Reminisce Banquet Hall in Emlenton. The deadline for scholarship application submissions is March 25.
Requirements include that the applicant must be a member of the CVF County Farm Bureau, be enrolled in a post-secondary institution and must be maintaining a 2.0 or higher QPA.
The six winners will be drawn by lottery from a pool of submitted applications.
These scholarships have been funded by Golf Outings at Clarion Oaks Golf Course for the past four years. This year’s golfing event will take place on August 20.
Another highlight of the evening will be the Ag Education Auction of donated items. These funds will support the county’s scholarships for the Mobile Ag Lab that visits area schools and for Educator’s AG Institute, a five-day seminar for teachers which gives them training in agricultural concepts while helping them meet their own continuing education requirements.
