Construction begins on Yellow Hammer broadband tower in Forest County

Construction has begun on a long-awaited broadband tower in the Yellow Hammer community of Forest County, aimed at improving internet access and serving as a relay for emergency services in Forest and Warren counties. The project is expected to be completed within a month or two, and additional towers are planned for other areas, including Barnett Township. The initiative is part of the national Broadband Equity Access and Deployment (BEAD) program, which focuses on expanding broadband in rural areas.
