A collection event for household hazardous waste and electronics will be held in the back parking lot of the Cranberry Mall from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 30.
The event is sponsored by Venango County and is open to all county residents.
Attendees are required to pre-register with the collection vendor, Environmental Coordination and Services, prior to the day of the event. Those interested in attending may register by calling (866) 815-0016 or visiting ECSR.net.
The cost of collection is 87 cents per pound of household hazardous waste including paints, chemicals, batteries and fluorescent light bulbs; 45 cents per pound of televisions and monitors, 52 cents per pound of small freon containing devices, and 25 cents per pound for all other electronics including laptops, printers, microwaves, cell phones and stereos.
