From staff reports
Area residents will have a chance to trade their unwanted clothing and household items next month.
Dee Armagost, organizer of the Clothing and More Swap said the vision she and Shiloh Struthers, the other organizer of the event, had was to bring together people from all over the region of varying economic backgrounds to trade different items and create a social event.
The organizers are encouraging people to take unwanted or unneeded clothing, shoes, accessories, household items, art or any other items to swap for free with other area residents.
There will also be a limited number of items provided by the organizers to help the trading process.
Times are tough, and sometimes when money is tight people should trade with their friends to get the things they need, said Armagost.
The event will also feature performances by several local bands, and information on benefits of buying second hand items.
Those uninterested in trading their items can also donate items to the event.
The free swap of items will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., Friday, May 12 at Karma Coffee in Oil City.
