Clarion Department of Public Safety to conduct test of Emergency Siren System

The Clarion County Department of Public Safety will conduct a test of the countywide Emergency Siren System at about 7:30 p.m. Monday.

Compared with normal fire sirens, the Emergency Siren System is a higher pitched tone with no ups and downs and lasts for three minutes.

This siren is only used to alert residents of an emergency in the county.

If the Emergency Siren System were to go off due to an actual emergency, people should tune to radio stations WCCR 92.7 FM, WCUC 91.7 FM, WOWQ 102.1 FM, WMKX 105.5 FM or WWCH 1300 A for additional information or emergency alerts.
