The Clarion County Democratic Party’s executive committee has unanimously endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for president. The party’s chair, Paul Woodburne, praised Harris as a strong candidate capable of defeating former President Donald Trump, citing her initiatives on mental health, LGBTQ+ support, racial equality, and women’s bodily autonomy. Woodburne also highlighted Harris’ prosecutorial experience, deeming her the best candidate to challenge Trump. Clarion County Commissioner Braxton White confirmed unanimous support for Harris from the delegates to the Democratic National Convention.
