Six students from Clarion County Career Center participated in the Health Occupations Students of America state leadership conference March 9-11 in Lancaster.
Traci Wildeson (front), an allied health instructor at the career center, attended the event with (first row, from left) Amanda Booher, Emily Courson, Janelle Merryman; and (back) Miranda Bowser, Kaydee Songer and Tiana Vogle.
HOSA provides a unique program of leadership development, motivation and recognition exclusively for secondary students enrolled in health science education. The conference allows the students to participate in competitions which demonstrate the health care skills and knowledge they have learned.
Booher was awarded third place in the nursing assisting competition, which makes her eligible to attend the HOSA International Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, to be held in June.
