Christ Episcopal pajama collection underway

Christ Episcopal Church in Oil City has begun its 13th annual pajama and book drive, providing new pajamas and an age-appropriate book to children in need. Started by retired teacher Sarah Margherio in 2011, the initiative collects sleepwear in sizes from infant to adult, with a particular need for sizes for elementary through high school students. Donations come from church members, community residents, former students, and teachers. Margherio wraps and distributes the pajamas and books to local elementary schools and community organizations, ensuring kids receive them before Christmas. New pajamas and cash donations for books can be dropped off at the church or at 552 Bouquin Circle in Oil City.
