Some Oil City residents will see changes in their garbage pick-up schedules beginning Jan. 1.
The changes are being made to reduce costs and man hours, according to city officials.
Here is a rundown of the changes:
Monday – Hasson Heights is moving from Wednesday to Monday.
Tuesday – No changes.
Wednesday – In addition to the Hasson Heights change, the Thursday North Side pick-up will move to Wednesday.
Thursday – In addition to the North Side move to Wednesday, the South Side Thursday pick-up will move to Friday. There will be Thursday routes beginning in January.
Friday – South Side of former Thursday route added to Friday as previously mentioned.
Letters will be mailed to residents, and drivers will attach attention tags to the trash can notifying residents of the day change.
