Shawn Monper, 32, of Butler, was federally charged for making threats to kill former President Donald Trump, U.S. officials, and ICE agents, according to U.S. Attorney Troy Rivetti. The FBI began investigating after Monper, using the name “Mr Satan” on YouTube, posted violent threats between January and April. Authorities linked the posts to Monper’s home and uncovered his growing stockpile of firearms and body armor, which he began collecting after Trump’s inauguration. His online statements included explicit threats of assassination and violence toward government officials and ICE agents. Monper was arrested Wednesday by the FBI and Butler Township Police and remains in custody pending a court hearing.
