The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) recently issued an update on the Interstate 80 North Fork Bridges Project near Brookville.
PennDOT said in their release that the closure, which began Sept. 23, is expected to last until Dec. 31, 2025.
The closure will allow for partial demolition of the Interstate 80 bridges over the road.
Traffic on Interstate 80 will be shifted toward the center median and will remain two lanes of traffic in each direction after the partial demolition is complete.
To detour, motorists are advised to use Jenks Street, Maplevale Road, Allegheny Boulevard, Main Street and Valley Street.
