Boil-water advisory lifted for Fryburg Water customers

Aqua Pennsylvania on Thursday lifted a boil-water advisory that had been in place since Saturday for about 180 customers served by Fryburg Water Co.

Customers may resume normal use of water after test samples showed no danger to drinking water in this area, according to a news release from Aqua.

No information regarding the cause for the issuance of the advisory was provided in the release.

The boil-water advisory marked the second time this month that such an advisory was issued for Fryburg Water Co. customers. The first advisory was issued as the result of an electrical interruption that caused a loss of positive water pressure in the distribution system.

Montgomery County-based Aqua has been operating the system under an emergency order, or receivership, from the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission.
