From staff reports
A Pinegrove Township home was destroyed by fire Thursday morning.
The residence was located on Old State Road near its intersection with Davis Road.
Charlie Lam, assistant chief with Pinegrove Volunteer Fire Department, said the house was fully engulfed by the time firefighters arrived at the scene at about 9:15 a.m.
Lam described the house as a total loss and said firefighters were on the scene for about three hours.
State police fire marshals are investigating the blaze, and Lam speculated it may have started in a bedroom.
Pinegrove firefighters were assisted by Seneca, Cornplanter, Washington Township and President volunteers as well as Franklin state police.
No one was home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported, Lam said.
