PennDOT and its safety partners are hosting a free children’s bicycle rodeo from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday at Lions Park in Cochranton, as part of the Cochranton Borough Park Fest. The event aims to promote bicycling, teach safety requirements, and instill safe biking habits in children aged 5 to 12. Participants will engage in activities focused on bike safety skills like hand signals and balance. Kids should bring a bike and helmet, and a parent or guardian must sign a permission slip. Free helmet inspections, a limited number of free helmets, and a chance to win a bicycle are also included.
