Between the raindrops there were some periods of blue sky and sunshine this past week. However, most of these periods happened while this picture taker was stuck in the office.
Nevertheless, more summer birds began to filter in. The lilacs were in full bloom and were enjoyed by bees and butterflies. Their scent, along with the sweet fragrance of the sweet shrub, have filled the evening air. Blueberry bushes are filled with blossoms and barring a late frost should yield a bumper crop this year.
Violets of all colors are appearing everywhere.
An extra large bullfrog has taken up residence at the neighbor’s pond. Although, he may well have been there all along.
A mallard couple has also been frequenting the pond.
The may apples are starting to cover the forest floor and unfortunately the black gnats and mosquitoes have returned as well.
Crazy Critters
