PennDOT has announced a new traffic signal installation in Barkeyville Borough to manage increased traffic on Route 8 and the Interstate 80 eastbound off-ramp due to local development. Starting Monday, the signal will flash yellow for Route 8 and red for the I-80 ramp to alert drivers of the new traffic pattern, with full operation set for Nov. 12. Funded by a private developer, the signal will be maintained by Barkeyville Borough.
