The Farmers National Bank of Emlenton recently donated $1,800 to assist Dalton Jones, of Boy Scout Troop 55, in completing a community service project.

Dalton’s project involves making significant improvements to the basketball court located in the Knox Civic Club Park. Upgrades will include replacing existing hoop systems, repairing surface cracks and re-painting the entire court. He hopes to complete the project by the end of June.

Through the donation, Farmers National Bank was able to cover the cost of one of the two hoop systems, which brought Dalton one step closer towards his goal.

Accepting the donation was Dalton Jones, representing Troop 55 of Salem Township, and Kelli Hilinski, Farmers National Bank branch manager of the Knox office.
