Baked Goods from Heaven, a popular bakery in Oil City, will relocate from Seneca Street to the historic former Famoore’s restaurant at 18 East First Street on January 5, following its closure on December 24. Owner Heaven Daugherty expressed excitement about the move, citing the new location’s larger space and improved parking. Famoore’s, a community landmark since 1902, closed in June 2023 after over a century of operation. The building, purchased by NextGen Real Estate in September, has deep sentimental value for locals. Co-owner Matthew Tenney highlighted the company’s commitment to preserving Oil City’s historic main street and supporting local businesses like Daugherty’s bakery. Famoore’s, which began as Payne’s Ice Cream Store, had a storied history as a cherished venue for family gatherings and milestones.
