Erie Arts and Culture (EAC) is offering a series of workshops called “Working Artist 101” to help artists and creative professionals enhance their skills and navigate the business side of the arts. These workshops are livestreamed locally at ARTS Oil City and cover essential topics like legal protections for creative work and financial management. The remaining sessions include a legal workshop on copyrights and contracts on Sept. 27 and a financial management workshop on Nov. 20. Participants can attend in person, via Zoom, or at group livestream locations. EAC and ARTS Oil City are working to boost collaboration and raise awareness of grant opportunities for local artists, with plans for an in-person intensive in Oil City if there’s enough interest. Registration for the workshops is available online, with each session costing $20.
