A new art gallery will open May 31 in Oil City.
Gallery BC, located at 109 W. Second St., will feature the paintings of city residents Margaret Brostrom and George Cooley, artists who came to Oil City nearly 10 years ago through the city’s artist relocation program.
Brostrom, formerly from San Francisco, and Cooley, who came from Boston, have been producing their art in Oil City and exhibiting at a variety of venues.
They have been awarded several grants to organize community art projects in Oil City and are involved in art and community organizations.
The gallery is located in their Colonial Revival home on West Second Street.
