CU Movies on Main in Clarion University’s Suites on Main South is coming back in full force this week! Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone will be starring in “Creed” this weekend at 7 p.m. Friday and 10 p.m. Saturday. Femme superstars and SNL alumni Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will be showing their comedic chops Thursday through Sunday. The showings for “Sisters” are 7 p.m. Thursday, 10 p.m. Friday, 7p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.
Speaking of stellar shows, “Charlotte’s Web” will continue its run in the Barrows-Civic Theatre this weekend too. E.B. White’s novel will come to life on stage courtesy of local performers at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets for the show cost $15 for adults, $14 for seniors and $10 for children and students. You can buy them at the door or reserve them by calling (814) 437-3440.
A special “Charlotte’s Web” county fair event with loads of fun things to do will also take place before all showings of the play. Before the evening performances, the fair will be open in the theater and to all audience members at 6 p.m. On Sunday, a “special four-legged guest of honor” will visit at noon before the final show.
Easter is on its way too! To prove it, Easter egg hunts are being hosted throughout the area. The first one is set to be hosted in the Franklin First United Methodist Church at 10 a.m. Saturday. It is suggested that you arrive early in order to have enough time to register and enjoy egg-hunting stress free.
Justus Park in Oil City will host a hunt at 1 p.m. sponsored by the First Church of God. Registration will start at 12:40 p.m. Any kids from ages 2 to 12 are welcome to attend.
Everyone will get to enjoy a special hunt at Fountain Park in Franklin at 11 a.m. Hosted by the Franklin Kiwanis Club and City of Franklin, adults will get the chance to receive Easter gifts from local businesses and eateries. All of these Saturday Easter egg hunts will be open and free to the public!
The fourth annual Titusville PEEPshow diorama contest will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at
the Titusville YWCA activities building, 201 N. Franklin St. in Titusville. The Easter Bunny will visit at noon.
The PEEP show will bring fans together to recreate pop-culture scenarios and historic moments out of PEEPS, just in time for the spring season. Just Born Quality Confections, the makers of the iconic PEEPS marshmallow candy, continues to support various PEEPS diorama and art contests by providing inspirational ideas and contest details online.
