Three more people are facing charges in connection with the overdose death of an Emlenton woman about a year ago.
Those three have been identified by Franklin state police as Jolena Bowser, 43, of Parker; Bryanna Bowser, 26, of Emlenton; and Amber Keebler, 33, of Pittsburgh.
Three others had already been charged by Franklin state police in the case.
Jolena Bowser, who was with the man, said she needed to check on another woman, later identified as Samantha Vera, who was found on the floor in a nearby apartment and later determined to be dead, the complaint said.
Bryanna Bowser was identified as a tenant in the same apartment as Vera, and when police searched the apartment, they found two glass smoking pipes belonging to Bryanna Bowser, the complaint said.
During the course of the investigation, police found that Jolena Bowser had taken Vera’s cellphone from the scene of the overdose before police arrived and eventually took it to her house, delaying the investigation, the complaint said.
Jolena Bowser told police she took the phone “by mistake,” according to the complaint.
Police also learned that while Raub was arranging to deliver drugs to Vera he was also messaging Keebler and arranging to pick up the drugs from her to deliver to Vera, the complaint said.
Police interviewed Keebler and she said Raub and another man came to Butler to pick her and Harrison Daniels, 32, of Butler, up before they drove to the Chicora area where Daniels obtained drugs from Shane Beachem, 46, of Butler, which he gave to Raub to deliver to Vera, the complaint said.
Daniels and Beachem were charged last week in connection with Vera’s death. Raub had been charged last July for his role in the incident, and he has since been sentenced to a state prison term.
Keebler has been charged with felony counts of drug delivery resulting in death, corrupt organization employee, conspiracy — corrupt organization, criminal use of a communication facility and manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, as well as misdemeanor counts of involuntary manslaughter and possession of controlled substances.
Jolena Bowser has been charged with misdemeanor counts of tamper with/fabricate physical evidence and obstruct administration of law/other government functions.
Bryanna Bowser has been charged with three misdemeanor counts of use/possession of drug parapheralia.
Preliminary hearings for both Bowsers are scheduled for April 13 in Venango County Central Court.
