A total of 250 Venango County veterans have died since Memorial Day 2015, according to Richard Mulholland, director of the county’s Veterans Affairs office.
Seventy-one of the veterans served during World War II, 70 during the Korean War, 47 during the Vietnam War and two during the Gulf War. Some veterans served during more than one war.
Another 66 veterans served during peacetime.
