A total of 217 Venango County veterans have died since Memorial Day 2019, according to Fred R. Weaver, director of the county’s Veterans Affairs office.
Of the total, 41 of the veterans served during World War II, 53 during the Korean War, 49 during the Vietnam War and seven during the Gulf War. Sixty-seven served during peacetime. Some veterans served during more than one war.
Following is a list of the veterans (those who served during more than one war are listed under the earlier war). Names that are missing from this list may be reported to the Veterans Affairs office by calling (814) 432-9780.
