Charges filed against a Franklin man accused of false imprisonment were withdrawn Wednesday in Venango County Central Court.
Assistant District Attorney Justin Fleeger said all 11 charges that 34-year-old Albert Schmidt IV was facing in connection with a domestic incident last month were withdrawn because the witness was unavailable.
The charges included four counts of false imprisonment, three of which were felonies; a felony count of strangulation, a misdemeanor count of terroristic threats, three misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of children, and misdemeanor counts of simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
Online court documents show that the case was originally scheduled for a preliminary hearing on May 24, but was continued on twice.
