Woman charged for selling drugs to informant

From staff reports

An Oil City woman is facing charges for selling cocaine to a confidential informant in Oil City.

A criminal complaint filed by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General says that in March 2020, in the presence of an agent, an informant contacted Brook Roberts, 39, and arranged to buy crack cocaine from her.

The informant met Roberts on Graff Street, and the two were driven by an unidentified woman around Oil City before returning to 3 Graff St. and entering the residence, the complaint said.

Another vehicle arrived at the residence when Roberts again left the house and then returned with an unidentified man who had exited the vehicle, the complaint said. The man then left the residence and left in the vehicle, the complaint said.

The informant left the house, returned to the agents and gave them a knotted plastic bag containing 0.24 grams of cocaine that had been purchased from Roberts, the complaint said. The informant told the agents Roberts got the cocaine from the unidentified man, according to the complaint.

Roberts has been charged with felony counts of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver and criminal use of a communication facility as well as a misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance.

She was arraigned Friday, and her preliminary hearing is scheduled March 24 in Venango County Central Court.
