The PPC Violence Free Network and Shelter will hold its sixth annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event on Sunday, April 28, in Franklin’s Fountain Park.
The walk encourages men to literally walk a mile in high-heeled shoes and aims to open conversation about sexualized violence by getting the community’s attention.
Registration for the event will begin at 2:30 p.m. in the park, where speakers and the beginning of the walk will follow at 3 p.m.
PPC said a limited amount of heels will be available at the event. Therefore, men are encouraged to bring high heels.
