The Franklin Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1835 will sponsor a “Patriots Day” free lunch on Sept. 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for all area first responders and medical professionals.
Area law enforcement officers, firefighters, emergency medical technicians and medical personnel are welcome to invite one guest to attend the lunch. For those on call, the VFW will have carry-out lunches.
The VFW asks those attending to use the middle entrance of the Bingo Hall and that those who are not in uniform to show their identification.
The VFW is at 419 Ninth St. in Franklin.
