Vendors sought for O.C. farmers’ market

The Oil City Main Street Program is seeking vendors for the Oil City Farmers’ Market.

Vendors who sell locally grown fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, eggs, cheese, honey, herbs, baked goods, plants and similar products may attend a pre-season planning meeting at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 5, in the basement meeting room of the Oil City Library.

Kathy Bailey, manager of the Main Street Program, said the city has asked her agency to coordinate the city’s farmers market.

Bailey said her plan is to develop a more defined schedule of hours when the market will be open.
