Venango treasurer’s office sets Sunday hours for military

From staff reports

The Venango County treasurer’s office will be open for special hours, primarily for military personnel, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, at the Courthouse Annex behind the courthouse in Franklin.

Military personnel who were unable to purchase their hunting license or military antlerless deer license can buy their licenses at that time.

Special antlerless deer licenses are available to members of the military on full-time active duty who are Pennsylvania residents or those who have an honorable discharge from the armed forces within the past 60 days.

Treasurer Deborah Sharp said applicants must produce substantial proof of their military status.

The treasurer’s office will also conduct regular business during those three hours on Nov. 25.

Anyone with questions can call the treasurer’s office at (814) 432-9523.
