Here is today’s schedule of events at the Venango County Fair:
9 a.m. – 4-H pleasure horse show – Kiwanis Bowl
9 a.m. – 4-H and open beef show – Phillips Arena
1 to 5 p.m. – Gameland
2 p.m. – Barnyard Olympics – watermelon seed spitting contest – Phillips Arena
3 p.m. – Lego building contest – Foster/Bullock
3 p.m. – Livestock quality animal management workshop – Phillips Arena
5 p.m. – Rabbit show – Kelly Barn
6 p.m. – Fair cookoff – Cheese – Foster/Bullock
6 to 8 p.m. – Bingo, Gameland
7 p.m. – Truck and tractor pulls – Main Stage/Pulling Track
7:30 to 8:30 p.m. – Pre-teen dance – Phillips Arena (11-year-olds and younger) – sponsored by Teen Council
7 to 10 p.m. – Live music by Son of Leroy – Scrubgrass Stage
8:45 to 10:30 p.m. – Teen dance – Phillips Arena (ages 12 and up) – sponsored by Teen Council
Ongoing events include the Kent Family Circus, hot dog pig racing and the mobile environmental lab (H2Oh! on the Go!)
The fairgrounds close at 11 p.m.
