United Way will offer walk-in vaccine clinics

From staff reports

The United Way of Venango County will hold two walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinics next week.

The first will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Oil City Knights of Columbus hall at 111 Petroleum St.

The second will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at the former Franklin Salvation Army building at 737 Elk St.

Anyone who receives their vaccine at one of these clinics will also receive a $10 gift card. This is made possible through a grant funded by the United Way of Pennsylvania and gift cards supplied by Galaxy Federal Credit Union.

Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be available to those who are eligible for the shots.

To receive a booster shot, individuals must meet current CDC recommendations.

The CDC recommends children ages 5–11 receive their vaccine by visiting their family pediatrician.
