Work will start Monday to install a new railroad crossing at Union Street in Oil City.

The crossing area will be closed to traffic and there will no entering or exiting Union Street during the work. Charlton Street and Quaker Drive will be the detour roads for cars only.

The work could be finished by Thursday.

During the week of July 15, the railroad crossing on Relief Street near the VFW will be replaced. A temporary roadway will be put through the Oil City Automotive parking lot for access to the VFW and National Fuel Gas office.
