The number was three for three local hunters and family members, Kevin Irwin (from left), of Oil City, Ray Cecil, of Oil City, and Scott Roehm, of Erie. Kevin Irwin’s bear was 220 pounds and shot at 9:15 a.m. Ray Cecil’s bear was 112 pounds and shot at 11:47 a.m. Scott Roehm’s bear was 117 pounds and shot at 11:57 a.m. The bears were taken legally from Cornplanter Township and weighed in with the Pennsylvania Game Commission on the last day of extended bear season.
