A man wanted on rape and sexual assault charges in Sugarcreek Borough was apprehended early Thursday morning in Pittsburgh.

Sugarcreek Borough police arrested William Clayton, 19, of Ellwood City, after they received a tip he was in Pittsburgh.

Clayton was transported from Pittsburgh to Venango County and arraigned before district judge Matthew Kirtland at 1:35 a.m. Thursday, police said.

He was lodged in the Venango County jail on $85,000 cash bond, police said.

Clayton has been charged with a dozen felony counts. They include single counts of rape, aggravated indecent assault without consent, disseminate photo/film of child sex acts and criminal solicitation-unlawful contact with a minor-sexual offenses, and two counts each of unlawful contact with a minor-sexual offenses, sexual assault, contact/communicate with a minor-sexual abuse and photograph/film/depict on computer sex act.
