Sugarcreek council approves 2 ordinances

From staff reports

Sugarcreek Borough Council approved two ordinances that will affect borough residents at the panel’s meeting Wednesday.

Borough manager Joe Sporer said that during April, May, September and October, residents will be allowed to burn approved items – such as leaves, paper and non-treated, non-painted wood – seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Burning would only be allowed from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays the other eight months of the year, Sporer said.

The vote to approve that motion was unanimous.

The other ordinance, also approved unanimously, adjusts the speed limit on Sugarcreek Drive from Meadville Pike to Buttermilk Hill Road from 35 miles per hour to 25 miles per hour.
