Street sweeping schedule set

City workers in Franklin and Oil City will sweep streets in the following areas next week:

Franklin

– Monday – Third shift, Washington Crossing Bridge; First shift, Gurney Road side of Franklin Heights

– Tuesday – Third shift, Washington Crossing Bridge; First shift, Gurney Road side of Franklin Heights

– Wednesday – Third shift, 15th Street Liberty Street to South Bell; First shift, Greentree side of Franklin Heights

– Thursday – Third shift, 15th Street hill from South Bell to Route 62; Route 62 to Eagle Street; First shift, Greentree side of Franklin Heights

– Friday – Third shift, Greentree side of Franklin Heights; First shift, Greentree side of Franklin Heights

Residents may see temporary “No Parking” signs along some streets with times and days to be swept. Anti-skid materials may be swept into piles in front of residents’ property to be picked up by city crews.

Residents should call the city garage at 437-1600 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays to give the location of the piles that need to be picked up.

Oil City

– Monday – Euclid, Englewood and Pennsylvania avenues, and Grant Street

– Tuesday – Liberty, Imperial, Walnut, Church, Pine and State streets, and Wilson Avenue

– Wednesday – Hone and Cedar avenues, Butternut Alley from Plummer to Hone, and Hoffman Avenue from East Bissell to Plummer

– Thursday – Clark Alley from Plummer to Hone, Bissell Avenue from Harriott to Plummer, Mylan Street, and Washington Avenue.

Vehicles must be moved from the posted streets by 7:30 a.m. on the day the sweeping will be done.
