Sprucing up gravesites

Liz Young and her mother, Verda Strawbridge, spent some time Wednesday planting flowers at Franklin Cemetery. “Oh they missed the flag,” said Strawbridge, who noted her husband’s Korean War marker doesn’t have a new American flag. Hundreds of flags are placed at veterans’ gravesites for Memorial Day, and Strawbridge said she has an old one she’ll bring if her husband’s grave doesn’t have a new flag by Monday. (By Richard Sayer)
