South Side heroin overdose leads to arrest for delivery

OIL CITY – A heroin overdose in the 1200 Block of West Second Street in Oil City led to an arrest Tuesday afternoon.

Oil City police were dispatched to the 1200 block of West Second St. for a reported overdose at around 3:40 p.m. Upon arrival, Oil City police officers found the overdose victim unconscious and being given CPR at the scene. Oil City Fire Department was able to make it to the scene and administer Narcan, an opiate antidote, to the victim, at which point they regained consciousness.

Upon further investigation, officers learned that Diana Wilson, of Oil City, allegedly delivered the heroin to the victim. She was subsequently arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

Wilson was arraigned in front of Judge Patrick E. Lowrey and lodged in Venango County Prison on $50,000 bond. The investigation is ongoing.
