Shippenville animal shelter needs volunteers

From staff reports

The Tri-County Animal Rescue Center in Shippenville needs volunteers to help with dogs and cats.

Volunteers perform a variety of tasks, including providing food, fresh water, cleaning, hygienic “scooping” and socialization.

Other opportunities also include dog walking, helping with or organizing events, fundraising, baking for bake sales, publicity, general cleaning/organizing and fostering.

Those interested can stop at the center on Route 322 or apply at tricounty-arc.org.

Volunteers will be scheduled for orientation and training.

The center is a volunteer-based, no-kill facility serving Clarion, Forest, Jefferson and surrounding counties.

In addition to rescuing needy cats and dogs and placing them in homes, the center provides access to spay/neuter programs and pet owner education.
