Sandycreek students compete in STEM event

A team of four Sandycreek Elementary fifth-grade students coached by Connie Palmer and Kelley Bilotto participated in the Thermo Fisher STEM Challenge against 19 other school district teams at Riverview Intermediate Unit 6 Monday. The challenge called for students to create a crane that could lift three objects six inches across a table from a K’Nex kit in two hours from a design students created prior to the competition. Sandycreek placed third overall in the competition and won the Design Challenge Award. The team included Ben Kreller, Alex Johnston, Alexis Snyder and Jasmine Stewart. (Submitted photo)
