Presque Isle: More than just beaches

A heron fishes in a pond near the Rotary Pavilion at Presque Isle State Park. It is most likely a juvenile great blue heron.

A recent visit to Presque Isle State Park proves the park has much more to offer than just sand and waves. With abundant lagoons and ponds, the park is full of wonderful wildlife habitats. A bald eagle made a brief appearance. There were Canada geese everywhere and a heron was spotted.
