Pink Splash for the Cure planned in Franklin

From staff reports

The water in the Egbert Fountain in downtown Franklin will be turned pink Tuesday, Oct. 4, as part of the annual Pink Splash for the Cure.

The breast cancer program will start at 5:30 p.m. Participants will be given pink dye to add to the fountain’s water. Cards in memory or honor of someone can be purchased and attached to white balloons that will be launched after the fountain’s water is turned pink.

Dr. Donna Puleio will be the guest speaker.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the Kirtland Cancer Foundation and Susan G. Koman for the Cure.
