Piano students to give recital

From staff reports

Piano students of Susan Piel will present their spring recital at 2 p.m. Sunday in the sanctuary of the Franklin Alliance Church.

The program is a combination of Christian Life Academy students and students from Piel’s home studio.

Each of these participants has prepared a solo selection: Ezra Rossey, Peyton Whitman, Elliana Cotherman, Grace Madden, Dillan Byers, Chalen Leibold, Katie Luxbacher, Lachlan Campbell and Kaylee Shiley.

Also on the program are Anna Rodgers, Ashley Laing, Carmondy Johnson, Joseph Sorensen, Savannah Bishop, Wesley Scheer and Logan Byers.

Wesley Bishop, completing 10 years of lessons, will play “Elfin Dance” by Greig and “Solffegietto” by C.P.E. Bach.

For his final recital pieces, senior Evan Eisenman has chosen “Piano Man” by Billy Joel and “10,000 Reasons” by Myrin and Redman.

Following the program, there will be a reception where the students may celebrate with their families and guests.
